FAQs
Your questions answered
Why is the fellowship treatment less expensive?
London Cartilage Clinic is an I AM Regen Centre of Excellence. Through its training fellowship, I AM Regen subsidises the cost of the injection to support the training of the next generation of surgeons in advanced regenerative orthopaedics. This subsidy makes the £1,800 fellowship package possible.
Your injection is performed by a training fellow, with Professor Paul Lee present and directly supervising. The package includes a consultation to assess suitability and a six-week follow-up. The subsidised fee applies only to the training session on 4 November 2026.
What does the £1,800 package include?
A consultation, an Arthrosamid® injection if you are clinically suitable, and a six-week follow-up. This is a preferential package fee for patients choosing the fellowship treatment option.
Who will perform my injection?
Your injection will be performed by a GMC-registered doctor undertaking fellowship training, with Professor Paul Lee present and directly supervising the procedure. This forms part of structured clinical teaching and learning, and the fellow’s role is explained to you before you give consent.
What happens at my consultation?
Your consultation takes place by video with a GMC-registered doctor. They will establish your diagnosis, assess whether Arthrosamid® is clinically suitable for you and discuss the potential benefits and risks of treatment, along with any alternatives.
What if I’m not suitable for Arthrosamid®?
If you are deemed unsuitable at your consultation, you will receive a full refund of the £1,800 package payment.
Why do I answer screening questions before booking?
The three questions help us identify anyone for whom this package is clearly not appropriate. They are preliminary only, and suitability is always confirmed at your consultation.
When will my treatment take place?
Treatment takes place on 4 November 2026 at London Cartilage Clinic, 66 Harley Street. If you are suitable and wish to proceed, your appointment time is allocated after your consultation and is subject to availability. Spaces are limited.
Can I have treatment on a different date?
The subsidised fellowship package is available only on 4 November 2026 at 66 Harley Street, London. Please book this package only if you can attend on that day. If you need another date, please use our standard Arthrosamid® treatment pathway, where the usual treatment fees apply. The fellowship subsidy cannot be transferred to another date.
Can I cancel my booking?
Once your treatment booking on 4 November is confirmed, the package fee is non-refundable. Before that, a full refund applies if you are deemed unsuitable at consultation.
Am I joining a fellowship programme?
No. You are choosing a fellowship treatment option for your Arthrosamid® injection. Signing the booking terms does not replace clinical consent. Treatment risks, potential benefits and alternatives are discussed before you decide whether to proceed.
Can I still have my treatment performed by Professor Lee?
Yes. Arthrosamid® treatment appointments with Professor Lee remain available at the usual treatment fee. The fellowship package is an optional alternative.
